There are a great many war films on TV. I avoid them like the plague as a rule. The Way to the Stars is an exception and there is an interesting old film called A Canterbury Tale which gives me a feel of the time. History programmes of WW2 interest me at times but on the whole I prefer to avoid them. Being an old person the past comes back a lot. War memories on the whole are sad but there are some amusing memories of that time.
